Twist and torque in the cellular nanocosmos: Diez group detects biophysical forces of molecular motors in 3D
Prof. Stefan Diez celebrates 15th anniversary of his research group with BioNano Symposium
Three days, 50 participants, 32 lectures: The Diez-Lab celebrated its 15th anniversary with a thematically diverse symposium from 28 to 30 August 2019. All former and current team members were invited, and almost all came - many of them with a talk on their current activities in research or industry. Between the eight lecture sessions held in the new B CUBE building, there was also plenty of room for discussions and networking, for example during a backyard barbeque and a hike followed by a wine tasting.
Prof. Stefan Diez: "The joy of doing science in a team, which has brought our lab far forward in the past 15 years, was impressively strong during the symposium. Our alumni are involved with well-known research institutes and companies all over the world. All current lab members and I myself have been most happy and felt very privileged that almost the entire team of 15 years has found its way to Dresden for this reunion."
