B CUBE
B CUBE is the BMBF Center of Innovation Competence for Molecular Bioengineering at TU Dresden, cofounded in 2007 by Carsten Werner (speaker), Christoph Neinhuis (vice speaker), Daniel Müller (now ETH Zürich), Michael Brand (BIOTEC) and partners (see associated faculty).
Carsten Werner
Carsten Werner is department head at the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden/ Max Bergmann Center of Biomaterials and holds the chair for Biofunctional Polymer Materials at the Center for Regenerative Therapies of TU Dresden.

Christoph Neinhuis
Christoph Neinhuis holds the chair for Botany at TU Dresden. He is also director of the Botanical Garden, and in 2006 he was appointed Dean of the Department of Biology.

Michael Brand
Michael Brand is director of BIOTEChnological Center at TU Dresden and director of the DFG Research Center / Cluster of Excellence 'Regenerative Therapies'. He holds the chair for Developmental Genetics at TU Dresden.
Eike Brunner
Eike Brunner holds the chair of Bioanalytical Chemistry at TU Dresden. His research interests are analytical studies of biomineralization phenomena/ biohybrids, determination of the structure and dynamics of biomolecules, especially by using NMR spectroscopy as well as optical spectroscopy and imaging. He is collaborating with B CUBE especially in the field of bioprospecting as well as the application of biological principles in materials science (biomimetic materials).
Gianaurelio Cuniberti
Gianaurelio Cuniberti holds the chair for Material Science and Nanotechnology at the Max Bergmann Center of Biomaterials and TU Dresden.
Wieland Huttner
Wieland Huttner is director of the Max-Planck-Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics and Honorary Professor of Neurobiology, TU Dresden. His research focus lies on the cell biological basis of mammalian neurogenesis.
Stefan Kaskel
Stefan Kaskel holds the chair for Inorganic Chemistry at TU Dresden. He is also head of the department of CVD thin film deposition at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology in Dresden.
Daniel Müller
Until recently, Daniel Müller has been professor of Cellular Machines at TU Dresden. Since 2010 he holds the chair for Biophysics at ETH Zürich. His research group develops and applies bionanotechnolgical tools that allow imaging the molecular machinery of the cell and quantifying their interactions from the cellular to the sub-molecular scale.
Petra Schwille
Petra Schwille is professor of Biophysics at BIOTEChnological Center at TU Dresden. Her group is primarily concerned with the development and application of novel spectroscopic and microscopic techniques for the quantitative investigation of sparse and single molecules in solution and living cells.
Francis Stewart
Francis Stewart is professor of Genomics at BIOTEChnological Center at TU Dresden.
Brigitte Voit
Brigitte Voit is head of the Subinstitute Macromolecular Chemistry and Managing Director of the ''Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung e.V.'' Dresden. She is also professor of Organic Chemistry of Polymers at TU Dresden. Her research interests are Defined Polymer Architectures and the Control of Nanostructure and Morphology.
